Mahabali Hanuman
The Mahabali Hanuman was created as a large, fully solid pendant measuring 75 mm in height. Its scale and solid creation allow Hanuman’s form and smaller sculpted details to be developed with much greater depth than in a standard-sized pendant.
Design & Printing
The design was developed to keep Hanuman’s imposing and serious appearance, with a broad chest, rounded shoulders, thick upper arms, defined forearms, and strong legs. His muscular anatomy was kept full and clearly shaped without becoming exaggerated. The Gada was also made large in proportion to his body, with a long handle and wide head that properly match the scale and strength of the figure. At the waist, the belt was finished with a Kirti Mukha detail, adding a stronger ornamental centre to the design.
Casting
Because the Mahabali Hanuman pendant was cast completely solid, careful runner placement was required to ensure proper metal flow to every section and reduce the risk of incomplete filling, porosity, or shrinkage. The runners were placed to feed the thicker areas evenly while avoiding the face, anatomy, Gada, Kirti Mukha, and other detailed surfaces, helping protect the design and reduce heavy cleanup after casting.
Polishing
The solid casting was polished in several controlled stages using four different compounds, gradually removing casting marks and building a clean, even shine. Extra care was taken around the face, muscular anatomy, Gada, Kirti Mukha, jewelry, and dhoti so the raised surfaces were refined without softening the sculpted lines or polishing away the smaller features.
