Rudraksh Shanka

A natural Rudraksha is placed at the centre of a Shankha-shaped silver frame, with gold-finished borders and light oxidation used to define the form and detailing bringing the Rudraksha and Shankha together into a wearable devotional piece.

3D Printed Prototyping

A 3D-printed prototype was made to check the size and fit of the Rudraksha before casting the final piece. The frame was adjusted around the exact shape of the bead to hold it securely without covering too much of its natural surface. The back was kept open so the Rudraksha could remain in direct contact with the wearer’s body.

RPT printing & Casting

The design was first produced through RPT and then pressure cast under carefully controlled conditions. The casting process was managed to help the molten silver reach the narrow sections, fine filigree, raised borders, and carved lines without gaps or incomplete areas, ensuring that even the smallest details from the RPT model were carried through clearly into the silver casting.

Finishing & Gold Plating

After casting, the piece was polished in stages using four different compounds to gradually build a clean, high shine. Each stage was controlled carefully so the surface could be refined without softening the fine details. Gold plating was then applied only to the selected areas, with the remaining silver kept exposed to contrast against the gold
